About Brian C. Bishop
Brian C. Bishop was raised in Sarasota, Fla. He has been a general contractor in Florida for 25 years. He has been manufacturing and distributing structural insulated panels (SIPs) nationwide since 1999.
Bishop invented the Home Front building system in 1999, when he and Jeanne Bishop founded Home Front Inc. in Venice, Fla., to produce energy-efficient panelized homes. In 2006, an investor group led by Arthur G. Nadel purchased a majority interest in Home Front and created a new corporation called Home Front Homes LLC. The Bishops are no longer affiliated with Home Front Homes LLC.
Bishop is a founding member of the Sarasota Green Building Council, a past president of the Sarasota Home Builders Association, and the founder and current chairman of the Charlotte-DeSoto Building Industry Association Green Building Council.
